Searching for my own inspiration, I had an idea. What if I highlight 100 creative, talented and ambitious women in Philadelphia?

In November 2019, I made the decision to walk away from my senior-level marketing position to reset and explore new opportunties. Simply put, I had an extreme case of burnout and just wasn't happy. My passion was dwindling and I felt like I was fading away. Over the past few months, I've looked deep within and have reflected on my own path and future goals - both professionally and personally. It's been a difficult path filled with a range of emotions. From intense confidence and freedom to a dash of anxiety and imposter syndrome, I still find myself grappling with the highs and lows.

Though I have moments of uncertainty, I feel immense gratitude to be on this journey and not the slightest ounce of regret with my decision. This is largely due in part to the many amazing women in my life that I am so fortunate to be connected with.

Women who not only lift me up but also inspire and encourage me. Women who are doers, thinkers, creators. Women who are in the trenches and working hard. Women who are focused on their goals and making a real difference - at all levels - not just CEOs, VPs and Executives.

At one time of another, we've all been guilty of allowing our self-worth to be tied to a job title, salary, award or professional accomplishment. We do so much but never feel like it's enough. We hustle, grind and compare ourselves to others even though we know we shouldn't.

So I got to thinking, what if I tried a social experiment of the sorts? What if I set a goal to profile 100 ambitious women in Philadelphia and create a network where women can connect, learn and grow. Where women are highlighted not based solely on their job title but on their impact and contribution to the city, their company and most importantly, to each-other.

I've decided to call this endeavorer "The 215 Project."

The 215 Project aims to celebrate the creative, ambitious and talented women that make Philadelphia great. It's a space to connect, learn and get inspired. It provides real advice from real women that are doing real things to lift up Philly every single day.

While I'm still in the beginning stages of interviewing, I hope you'll join me on this journey. If you'd like to be profiled or have someone who you think should be profiled, drop me a note in the CONTACT section!

Cheers,

Erika
